Arsenal Vs Östersund (UEL Round of 32 2nd Leg)

This just might be the biggest dead rubber of all time.

But hey ho, we have to dot the i’s and cross the t’s before we move into the round of Arsenal

Olympiacos vs Arsenal (every time, well okay 2 of the 3) were dead rubbers, this isn’t that I would say. Just one of the bigger mismatches in the round of 32 and little Östersund are punching above their weight

Maitland in the middle again!

can’t believe no eddie.

WHat is the point in starting Welbeck, who is old and shit, especially in this almost dead rubber where Eddie would be good to try out.

I’m glad we’re giving our youngsters some minutes. That Welbeck guy has so much potential.

We want to get Welbeck in form and it’s a chance for him to get into the England squad.

I would have preferred Eddie as well tho.

Agreed.

He’s our only back-up to Auba, so we don’t want him too rusty if Auba gets injured as well.

I would prefer to let Eddie get some game time. Give it to him ahead of Iwobi or Wilshere. Wilshere doesn’t need these minutes.

Who’s currently out injured :campbell:

Back in a couple of weeks according to Wenger

Think Lacazette might be back for the next round second leg.

If he has a good game, and scores as well, it puts his value up for all the European clubs who are interested.
Wenger has sold Giroud, Walcott and Chamberlain, who were all first team attacking players, so I can’t see him keeping hold of Welbeck.

I would have thought that out of all the players we have sold this season, that Welbeck would have been the first out of the door, but maybe no other clubs were interested.
