I think Arsenal might like Arsene to disappear quietly into retirement or a national team job, but I don’t think he will. I think he’ll go somewhere else and I think he’ll be successful.

I think you might be right there, I’d say that’s the only thing that will really keep him back if anything.
Where does this all come from? Forget the lack of funds, lack of quality scouting; Wenger has been found out tactically for a long time and never had real success in European competitions anyway. That is the basis for a succesful manager.
That’s why I’m against Ancelotti too.

You can’t count on Wenger to put out a tactically astute set up in the CL knockout rounds. You can at least know that Benitez will set the team up not to get shanked 5-2/4-0/8-2/etc etc etc Wenger has just taken MULTIPLE absolutely sack worthy poundings this decade both domestically and in Europe.
