For some reason, I have an inkling if he does well in a few games. You will see the stupid International Managers come calling to screw us bloody over.

Can you tell us a bit about your playing style and what we can expect?
Well, I think I’m a pacy player. I like to link up and combine with my team-mates, playing one-twos to work a shot. I don’t want to put myself in a box, I hope that the Arsenal fans can see for themselves and enjoy watching me.

:ozil2: likes it :ozil2:. Welcome to Arsenal Lucas!

welcome Lucas, lets see what you’re made of

Wow. I wonder if Wenger knows what he’s gotten himself in to. Imagine Lucas jumping around on the sidelines yelling and commanding like that in front of him and Bould  Loving it!

Very excited to see him play, I think Wenger will make him world class

How the boss believes and feels about Lucas:

All that’s left now is to curse him with the number 9 shirt

Great video. Now i am proper excited to see him play for us.

With the attributes that he has shown in that video, we would destroy any team playing with a high line.

And which teams are these that play high lines against us? Are we going to destroy Barca and Bayern? Man City?

Shall i answer your question with more questions?

Doesnt matter to me.

We may not have destroyed these teams but we have beaten all of them relying on worse players and slower players like Giroud or does that conveniently escape your memory to fit your agenda?

Sigh. This narrative. It seems of no importance that when it mattered we got anally RAPED by two of those teams. But sure. We ‘beat’ them.

Sigh. Like there are no other teams who play high line against us apart from Bayern & Barca.

Far majority doesn’t. We might have the players btw, but our execution as far as counterattacks goes has been rubbish for years. People said the same about Alexis and Walcott. But maybe stuff is going to be different now because we seem to have an excellent long range passer in Xhaka.

I guess I have to answer this stupid question. (Not directed at you @SDGooner )

Plenty of clubs do play a high line who we have beaten with or without a mobile striker.
Like in last season, we played against Leicester(A), United(H), Stoke(H) with Theo & the impact of his pace as opposed to Giroud was really evident in results which were 5-2 at Leicester, 4-0 against United, 2-0 against Stoke.

Then we also have away matches where teams come at us, especially the likes of Southampton, Watford, Swansea etc.

It hasn’t been completely rubbish.
We were excellent as a counterattacking team in Ramsey season and we were brilliant with Theo in first half of last season.

All the while we were playing with Giroud as our CF or Theo who is not a specialist CF.
Now we have a proper CF of that mould.

As you said, with Xhaka capable of being the Scholes esque distributor & Ozil’s creativity, we can make use of Perez’s & Sanchez’s attributes as a counter attacking players.

No I put right there in my post Man City.
