UEFA Champions League

If that’s what it takes to be top five then I don’t know what to say.

He was great, however, people are getting super gassed.

Needs to do it for another 2-3 seasons to be considered top 5 IMO. But definitely the world’s best u21 without a shadow.

Goto bluemoon, read their Alexis Sanchez thread then come back and say that.

Hahahaha yeah that will likely change my tune in a heartbeat

The only thing to stop P.S.G. from winning everything this season is their greediness.

Yep I don’t need numbers on the board to tell me what my eyes can see, you don’t have to agree.

For me Mbappé’s got everything and Suarez might be a hooligan but he’s not even on the same level he was last season let alone the one that destroyed the world back in 14/15.

Nahh I’m cool I’ve been on this hype train since day.

Eh as I said you’re gassed.

IMO top five need the body of work, multiple championship winning performances including Europe and need to prove themselves internationally. And Suarez still has 87 goals in 100 league appearances despite “not being as good” as you put it. You’re downplaying someone like him seriously.

The kid hasn’t even hit 20 goals in his own league, if he’s top five he better win the CL this year and the World Cup whilst being a key factor.

Do you think need hazzard will win a baollon dor before mbappe does?

It all depends on Hazard himself he has the ability but I’ve always got the sense with Hazard that he plays a little restrained.

He should be putting up Neymar numbers regarding goals, as good as he is it seems he doesn’t have that Ronaldo, Messi et al killer mentality.

By all accounts he’s not flashy spends all his time with his family and is content as he is, time is running out though these younger players will be coming his neck soon.

I think it’s safe to say you’d get better odds that mbappe will win the ballon dor in the next 5 years than you would for Suarez or hazard to win it

Not saying that that 100% proves mbappe is the better player currently but as far as I can see that’s only due to the fact he has only been doing it for a less than a year, if he keeps upcoming his current level for the next year he will be seen as much better than at least those 2

The reason for that is simply age, Mbappe has far longer to win it.

How is anyone supposed to win it with Messi and Ronaldo still at or near their best? It’s practically their trophy at this point. Mbappe isn’t winning it whilst Messi is at the peak of his powers that’s for sure.

Suarez should have won it in 2015/2016 as he was the best player in the world IMO.

The only argument you could make to say mbappe isn’t as good as anyone bar messi and ronaldo is the fact it could possibly still be a kind of purple patch and he needs to keep this form up for at least 3 full seasons, and to be honest that would be the most sensible way to asses it but if your just going on current from I think it’s fair to say he’s just as good as Suarez and especially hazard

I agree with you on 2015/16 but Suarez hasn’t been in great form recently from what I’ve seen. Mbappe has been performing better

I don’t jude merely on form, something like a top five would be changing every week.

An appreciation of player has to involve ranking and subsequent debate over the ranking.

It is known.

Definitely agree with @Titou14 that Mbappé is top 5 in the world already. The boy has everything, he’s ridiculously good. Nothing is going to change him being top 5 except serious injuries so I see no point in this ‘he has to prove it more’ stuff, that’s just rolling out cliches for the sake of it.

I do wonder if he made the right choice in going to PSG with Neymar, though. He might already be the better player–and that’s not a slight on Neymar–and if he isn’t it’s probable he’ll surpass him in the coming years. He deserves a team that plays for him, and–not that Bale is his level of talent–I worry him running into some of the problems that Bale did at Madrid with Ronaldo’s/Neymar’s personality in the team being a bit too big for him to really express his talent, especially if part of Neymar’s reason to move to PSG was to step out of Messi’s shadow.

City might’ve been a better choice for him. Worry that PSG won’t let him go in a couple years either, to have a team play for him.

My top 5 would be:

Messi
Neymar
Mbappé
Kroos
Hazard

He did say you don’t have to agree with him .

Fingers crossed this is exactly what happens and he can sign for he club he should have done this summer just gone

P.S.G.
The english teams bar Liverpool

That’s my favourites atm.

You have the English teams bar Liverpool more of a favourite than Real Madrid ?
