My dad, who supports Besiktas told me about when Arsenal lost this competition to Galatasaray. Knowing we lost this comp before is annoying so Iām very motivated to win it. Wish more people were the same, weāve got bragging rights if we win Europa

That was the EUFA cup which was a different competition.
It wasnāt a great game and we lost on penalties.
Al;though it does mean Wenger has got to two European finals.
I thought UEFA Cup and Europa League was the same? Just a different name

Not sure about this if Iām honest. Itās an achievement and something to be happy about, especially for Arsenal, dont get me wrong, but Iām not sure who you get bragging rights over for winning It?
It would be short lived bragging rights but teams that season who didnāt win a trophy/didnāt qualify for the CL
It is a different format but the actual qualification is almost the same.
There used to be the European Cup Winners cup, which we won with George Graham, as well as the EUFA cup, and that stopped and the Europa League took over as the only other European cup competition apart from the CL.
The big difference with the Europa League is the league system to qualify for the knock out rounds, and to win it there are a lot more games than the EUFA cup.
