After reading his comments in the Havertz thread maybe he should just enjoy his retirement in peace and quiet.
I mean, he’s right to question it. Initially he was onboard with the idea but I get the scepticism. There’s plenty in here who weren’t sure about it and still are.
The skepticism is warranted but what he said didn’t make a ton of sense.

Yeah man same, it really felt like we were building out the spine of our team throughout the whole pitch for the next 10 years.
What a fucking shame. Crazy how long ago that was, still feels like we’re living in the shadow of that era to some extent.
God, we need to win a PL title or CL cup so badly.
