The FA will be capable to wast the talent like the past when the England National Team had giant players like Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, David Beckham, Sol Campbell, Steve Gerrard, Mick Carrick, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Micheal Owen, without winning any trophies.
Apart this, there are many young talents who will be important for their NTs.
We can image the spanish nation team, thinking about the future World Cup, who can have on the right a group of players like Bellerìn, Carvajal, Juanfran. Their U21 and U18/17 squads are full of talents: Jorge Merè the CB, Alena, Ontiveros, Mayoral.
...and France? Potentially, without mentioning a top class CB like Laurent Koscielny, they have two CBs which were born in 1993 and two CBs which were born in 1994 plus Lucas Hernandez, Kimpembpe from PSG, Lenglet (Nancy captain despite his age, 21) and Diop. It's useless to debate about other roles because their U21 have a midfield better than many midfields of senior national teams: Bakayoko from Monaco, Adrien Rabiot and Corentin Tolisso,
Portugal, when Ronaldo, Pepe, Fonte, Moutinho and Quaresma will be too old to be in the NT, they have a group of players ready to build a new spine: Ruben Semedo, Ruben Neves, Horta, Gelson Martins, Renato Sanches, Adrien Silva, Bernanrdo Silva, Cancelo, Guerreiro, Andrè Gomes, Joao Mario etc.. etc...
Netherlands have the most interesting squad for the future, in my opinion. De Vrij, Klaassen, Depay, Willems, Janssen, Karsdorp, El Ghazi, Riedelwald, Brenet, ter Avest, Nouri, Paal and Ramsleaar have all unde 24 years old.
England should follow the example of this teams. They haven't a tradition like them and aren't intelligent like Italy because they haven't any squad who works to improve the local talents (AC Milan are working very well in this case with Donnarumma, Calabria, Romagnoli, Locatelli, De Sciglio).
